Job Summary:
Corner Bakery is looking for an organized, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Catering Supervisor to lead our in-unit catering operations. This hands-on role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering, from order management and food preparation to delivery coordination and client communication. Catering Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily catering operations including order taking, driver scheduling, food production, and department cleanliness.
Manage and enter orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system for both phone and online requests.
Assemble catering orders into baskets, trays, and bowls with attention to detail and presentation.
Begin and complete food prep, including breakfast and lunch production; ensure all items are made to Corner Bakery specifications.
Make deliveries on foot or by vehicle while representing the Corner Bakery brand professionally.
Assign deliveries and duties to catering employees and ensure on-time execution.
Distribute daily tips and oversee catering staff responsibilities.
Serve as the point of contact for guests, handling order changes, resolving concerns, and delivering excellent customer service.
Execute Catering Sales Initiatives, such as:
Daily customer follow-ups
Menu drops and food tastings
Local community event coordination
Active canvassing to identify new sales leads
Catering Supervisor Secondary Functions:
Support café operations by assisting as needed in roles such as:
Expo, Cashier, Line Cook, and Dishwasher
Maintain clean and stocked Front-of-House displays and condiment stations
Buss tables, clean restrooms, and assist with general cleanliness of the café
Prepare and organize food for guest pick-up or delivery
Maintain accurate cash flow and financial integrity of all transactions
Catering Supervisor Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or currently in the process of completing it
Must be able to pass Corner Bakery driver training, meet MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) standards, and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance
Valid Food Handler Card or ServSafe Certification as required
Minimum of 3 months' experience in a guest service role, preferably in a restaurant or retail environment
Strong communication skills and commitment to guest satisfaction
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and POS systems
Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
Competent in basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Catering Supervisor Additional Information:
Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying catering trays.
