Job Description:
As the Catering Lead at Corner Bakery, you will oversee all aspects of catering operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient order fulfillment, and high-quality food presentation. You will manage catering order processing, supervise delivery scheduling, and lead food preparation while maintaining a clean and organized catering department. This role requires strong leadership, customer interaction, and the ability to drive catering sales initiatives through cold calling, menu presentations, and community events.
Catering Lead Key Responsibilities:
Process catering orders via phone and online, entering them accurately into the POS system.
Supervise catering production, including baking, food prep, and meal assembly in trays, baskets, and bowls.
Schedule and assign delivery drivers, ensuring timely and professional service.
Handle guest concerns with professionalism, escalating to management when needed.
Execute breakfast and lunch catering preparation while maintaining food safety standards.
Perform cleanup duties, including trash removal and maintaining sanitation compliance.
Distribute catering tips and ensure fair allocation among staff.
Drive catering sales growth through customer callbacks, menu drops, and territory canvassing.
Represent Corner Bakery at community events, conducting food tastings and menu presentations.
Assist with Expo duties, cashiering, dishwashing, and line cooking as needed.
Ensure FOH displays and condiment stations are fully stocked and visually appealing.
Maintain cash handling accuracy and financial integrity for catering transactions.
Catering Lead Secondary Duties:
Bus tables and check restroom cleanliness.
Prepare food to specifications and assist with order fulfillment.
Support retail operations during peak hours when catering demand is low.
Catering Lead Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (in progress acceptable).
Valid driver’s license, clean MVR record, and ability to pass CBC driver training.
Food handler card or ServSafe certification (as required by state).
3+ months of guest service experience (restaurant or retail preferred).
Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Solid basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
